Open MinaSpark and enter your email address. We'll send you a 6-digit code. Enter the code to sign in — no password needed. Then create your child's profile by entering their first name.
Go to the Word Lists tab and tap the + button. Give your list a name (like "Week 5" or "Sight Words"), then add words by typing them one at a time. You can also scan a printed word list using the camera button.
Tap the camera icon on any word list. Take a photo of a printed spelling list or worksheet. MinaSpark uses image recognition to read the words and lets you review them before adding to the list.
Go to the Profile tab. You'll see all children under your account. Tap a child's name to switch to their profile. Each child has their own word lists, math progress, and stars.
The Math tab shows a 12x12 multiplication grid colored by mastery level. Tap "Start Practice" and answer timed multiplication questions. The app tracks which facts your child has mastered, is learning, or is struggling with, and focuses practice on the ones that need work.
Stars are earned during practice sessions for correct answers and streaks. Daily challenges are special goals that refresh each day — like "Complete a spelling session" or "Get a perfect score." Completing challenges earns bonus stars.
To reset a spelling list's mastery data, open the list and look for the reset option. To start completely fresh, you can delete and recreate a child profile from the Profile tab. Note: deleting a profile removes all their data permanently.
MinaSpark is free to download and use. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no premium tiers.
